No sound during WoW Stream.
So I started streaming World of Warcraft, but in the stream there is no sound. Viewers can still hear my mic, but they cannot hear the game itself. I'm assuming this has something to do with it being a non-steam game opened through a launcher, but I'm not sure.

Interesting. I have the same problem now. The audio was working for me for a long time, but sometimes just goes out after the ANTI-WARCRAFT update wipes out my connection by deleting the ADD NON STEAM GAME icon gets removed. Now the audio is non existent. I will need to wait until I get in front of my main PC to see if I can add it back in, and if the audio works on that end or not. I have been playing WoW on my 12 year old laptop, through STEAM, and it works VERY WELL. With one exception. It keeps getting updated out. I have been using the past few days, away from home, and last night, it no longer works. ALL connections to my main PC gone. I'm thinking this has something to do with STEAM working as a remote desktop during the time I'm playing wow over Steam. I'm pretty sure that is an unintended side effect, and removed for that reason. I will continue to add WoW back into my library. This functionality is its best feature. Otherwise, this laptop could never play World of Warcraft, or Just Cause 3 (which is just a slide show otherwise).

Idk man maybe someone else can help you. This is a 6 1/2 year old thread. I launch WoW through the bnet launcher now I don't launch it through Steam and I don't stream anymore.

Ummm... how to put this... it was all me. Or should I say my wife. I turn on the PC in my bedroom.Make sure Steam is all set. Turn the TV (50") off, and vacate to the kitchen. Little did I know that she would often follow me and turn the PC off because she says I always forget to turn it off. The sometimes she goes and turns it right back on again WHEN I'M TROUBLESHOOTING IT! I swear I feel like I'm living in a Sit-Com at times.
