Anybody else use Splashtop as an alternative to steam?

I tried it out and it seems to actually just "work" without much configuration or trial and error like steam streaming. Lately I've been getting a lot of slow network errors all of a sudden where i never had that before which made me try splash top. Anybody else have good luck with it?

Not much to add other than I use Splashtop as well, since before Steam offered streaming I believe. Splashtop is a fantastic piece of software in my opinion. However I find that it often has trouble receiving arrow key "move" type commands, interpreting them instead as a rapid staccato of clicks. If I'm playing a third-person RPG or similar and hold down "w" to move forward, it makes them walk-stop-walk-stop-walk-stop-walk-stop and generally look crazy and be slow.

For something like X-Com it's flawless.

Edited to add: I used to get around that to play on my tablet by having a wireless controller I could take with me to any adjacent room that was connected to the main PC. So there was no input lag or stuttering, and then I saw the feedback on the tablet screen.

Does Splashtop forward the input of a game controller such as the xbox 360 controller?

yeah i am using my controller upstairs while my host is downstairs. seems to work a little better than kainy as far as image quality.

you have to install the drivers located in the program folder directory. there is a batch file to run. i notice sometimes all games dont register the inputs. BF4 and Shadow of mordor for instance
