Black screen and no sound, but controls work
I can stream games from my laptop to my desktop just fine, it's super smooth, 1080p, sound works (tested with Dota 2), but I can't get any game to stream from my desktop to my laptop.

Games tested for streaming from desktop to laptop:
Skyrim
GTA IV
Loadout
Fallout: New Vegas
Path of Exile
Sacred 2 Gold
Saints Row: The Third

With hardware decoding enabled, there is just a black screen. With hardware decoding disabled, there is no black screen, nothing ever comes up. Either way there is no sound, but the laptop's keyboard and mouse work perfectly to control the game on my desktop.

Sometimes, with GTA IV, it actually displays one frame, and then never changes. Hasn't done that with any other game though.

Most of the time the performance information doesn't show up either, when enabled (I've tried with it disabled too).

I've tried all the combinations of hardware encoding and network prioritization that I can think of.

Both computers run at 1080p.

Both Steam versions are identical (Built 11 Nov, 16:53:56).

They both show up fine in each other's Steam network list.

Laptop specs:
i7-3630QM with Intel HD 4000
GeForce GTX 660M (could the Nvidia Optimus be messing with it?)
nVidia drivers version 344.65 notebook
Updated Intel HD 4000 drivers too (Driver Version: 15.33.30.64.3958)
16GB RAM
1TB HDD
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Connected to 1Gbit LAN via cable

Desktop specs:
i7-2600K
GeForce GTX 770
nVidia drivers version 344.65 desktop
16GB RAM
120GB SSD & 3TB HDD
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Connected to 1Gbit LAN via cable

MTU settings for both desktop and laptop are 1500, and the max packet size I can send to either one (from the other), is 1472. This seems to match up to what it's supposed to be, according to this page (http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/94721-mtu-limit-test-change-your-connection-s-mtu-limit.html) which apparently helped someone else somewhere fix a similar black screen problem.

On the desktop's streaming_log.txt, all the Avg/Std (whatever) Bitrate/MS numbers are all 0... except for the times when GTA IV shows its single unchanging frame, then they're all kinds of different numbers.

I'm trying to figure this out, but my brain hurts. Any idea what I need to do to get this to work?

try enable then disable shadowplay in geforce experience.

No luck with the Shadowplay either. Tried disabling it on both computers, no change.
