HP Stream 11 as a client for Streaming
I have been looking at the announcements for this ultra budget chromebook competitor and I cant help but think it may be the perfect steam streaming client!

Intel Celeron N2840 with HD graphics, Fanless design (good for HTPC), HDMI port, 32GB SSD, and windows out of the box so no need to load linux on a chrombook/box. The only concern would be lack of ethernet, but that could be overcome with a high end wireless adapter ( i use the Asus USB-N53 with great success) or an ethernet to USB adapter.

What do you think?

Tested it out and it is no good for streaming, the wireless card that is built in to the stream is not good, it was too slow to do a decent job of streaming games to it. It works but the picture quality is poor. I tried it wired through a ethernet to usb adapter and it worked fine with that configuration. Quite dissapointed with the performance of hp stream 11. It is no way a chromebook killer. Even surfing with a few tabs open is a horrible experience

I had a very different experience. With the Stream set to Performance Mode and the Battery vs Performance slider all the way to Performance (both accessed via Intel Graphics controller) I was able to Stream games without any issue. I played Wolfenstein: New World Order with a quite good frame rate. I think this is a fine Steam Streaming system, though an even lighter and cheaper option is the Asus X205TA. I got mine for $140 new. Staples has it tomorrow for $99!
