Wuthering Waves opens through streaming but doesn't react to any input from the client

Wuthering Waves has just had its Steam release but unfortunately, when I stream it from my home PC to my work laptop (God bless night shifts), the game opens fine but doesn't react to neither clicking the mouse or pressing the keyboard keys, aside from Escape that opens the streaming menu. Any ideas why it happens or how to fix that? Is that common? I had the exact same problem when I once added a non-steam game to Steam and it had its own launcher that I could do nothing in, but I think that problem was caused by the fact that executing the file doesn't open the game but the launcher.
