Steam Remote Play Washed Out Colors

I'm streaming a PC game to my TV, and when I connect to the stream on the TV, the colors are identical for a split second but then get washed out - everything becomes dull and highly grey.

I've tried disabling hardware encoding but that just messes up the resolution and stream.

It could be due to my samsung tv auto switching to "gamemode" but from what I've tried, it's impossible to switch off this setting when a stream starts.

Any solutions to this? I've searched countless threads and posts online for the past two hours and can't find anything.

try setting tv to 32bit colormode (8bit per channel)

Let me guess: you enabled windows HDR in your game rig and since steam Remote Play hasn’t supported HDR streaming yet your games lose colors info and ended up color washing our. Disable hdr will fix it
