Titanfall Experience
Well after finally getting titanfall up and running, my time spent has been great. Rock solid 60 fps with dips here and there down to as low as 38 roughly. I don't think it's my hardware considering I generally have no dips in streaming the likes of Dishonored. The dips only seem to occour when starting a match so it could be optimization issues (beta is beta.)

Edit: Streaming at desktop resoltion (1366x768) with 15 Mb bandwith + locked at 60 fps.

Specs

Host: Connected via ethernet
AMD 7950
i5 2500k (Not overcloked, holds up pretty dam well)
8gb ram

Client: Connected via wifi
Macbook air 11"
8gb ram
1.3ghz i3

Connection: 38Mb/s Fiber optic
BT Homehub (Completely unusable when the host and client are connected via wifi. Ethernet however works perfectly.)

It does not stream well, poor frame rate and slight lag makes it difficult to really compete.. It is online only as well which may affect gameplay. I ran it at 1080p. I will muck around with it again today.

Did you have trouble actually getting into the game? I think steam is trying to stream the Origin loader and not the game itself because I get the desktop streamed and I have to click on the titanfall window. Then I'll get poor framerate with the yellow "poor frame capture"..

How did you get it working? I've tried streaming internet explorer and minimizing it to get a desktop stream, then launching titanfall from the desktop. But once I minimize internet explorer my fps drops to 20.

Ah yea I had the exact same problem, was really frustrating. Celestion on another discussion for Titanfall found a solution for most Origin games.

It is easy to get titanfall streaming correctly. This method is necessary for all Origin games AFAIK.

Here is how I did it.

On the PC you will stream from:
1. Add titanfall.exe to your Steam library.
2. Configure Origin to exit automatically after closing an Origin game (Application Settings -> Advanced->Tick the box under "Automatic Exit")
3. Close the Origin program completely. Do not merely minimize it.

Once you have done these things, you should be able to stream any Origin game without issue.

The game streamis well for me. Just the normal 60ms input lag I get for all streamed games.

I can't even get in-game. I get that damn "Can't connect to remote computer" error no matter what I try. I KINDA got it to work by adding Chrome to the host computer's Steam library, running that from the client, minimizing, and then launching Titanfall from the desktop. Doing this, though, the game only registered d-pad entries from my gamepad and nothing else.

Working fine here, just added the Titanfall.exe to Steam and made sure Origin isn't running before I launch it and I get a perfect 60fps locked at 720p.

I didn't think Gamepad input worked properly at all with non-Steam games though.

How did you get it to work? When I try it it pops up saying that Origin is not installed

I got this working fine.. the frame rate is acceptable for me (dont have the details through).. but my problem is when using xbox 360 wireless controller.. Am running ubuntu as the client, it was able to start just fine but a few minutes into the game the controller become a mouse..works fine in other games.. only titanfall so far..still figuring this out.

PS: If you want to make it working, just don't start origin when you boot up. Completely disable it. Then in origin there is an option to quit origin when we close the game, choose that option and disable origin in-play overlay. Put your shortcut in steam, like normal.

I have the exact same issue as tragicmaestro, Ubuntu client and x-box 360 controller. Not that big of deal as I rarely play FPS on the SiHS but it would be nice. If anyone has found a work-a-round please post.

I am having the same problem with steam link, windows 7 computer, xbox 360 controller becomes a mouse with left stick when you start playing titanfall.

Update - working fine since i did Celstion's fix. Also worked for my son with PVZ garden warfare, but had to alt tab on the computer to get the pvz screen to be showing.
