- Steam (top right corner)
- Settings
- Family
- Manage family view
- Put a check mark on friends, chat and groups.
Or alternatively you can make a seperate account and add it to your family library sharing but I haven't really tested it yet.Edit: I tested it and it's rather annoying.
Go on your family pc and verify it ( Steam->settings->family).
Log in as a diffrent account and verify steamguard (steam explains what to do).
Now play a game and it will request permission from your original account.
It seems Steam streaming still works in offline mode, so I suppose I'll have to keep that PC offline and disable Family View.
I haven't tried to stream anything yet, I'm doing all of the setup by remote desktop right now so I don't have to keep going back and forth between rooms.
You might have to suck it up and always use the family pin or make a seperate account and family share it whatever suits you best.
Yeah streaming only works from the same account and won't I mention anything else because it kinda ruins the idea of beta testing it and checking out all the diffrent variables.
