Windows 7 to Mac OS streaming?
My main gaming computer is a Windows 7 Desktop, and my on the go is a macbook air with the latest OS. I was wondering, at this current time, is there no game supported for win to mac streaming?

I'm getting an "application failed to launch" error when I attempt to stream on my macbook air from my desktop.

No, there's no limitation for Windows to Mac streaming. If a game can work in streaming at all, it'll work on the Mac side (this includes games that are normally windows-only). I've played several games this way.

Can you immediately run the game on the host side after you receive that error?

Hi,

Thanks for the response. For example I am trying to stream Payday 2 from my Windows computer to my macbook air.

When I click on payday 2 in my macbook steam library, it attempts to launch then i receive an "authentication error".

When I click on payday 2 on my desktop when this error occurs on my macbook air, it says the game is already in use.

I've successfully streamed about a dozen games of different engines and types to my Macbook running Mavericks from Windows 7, but I haven't tried Payday 2. I do also know that success does vary a lot from person to person though,

I can confirm that streaming from a W7 x64 to a Mavericks MBA works, but I dont have Payday 2 sorry : /

Games that I have successfully tested:
- Batman Arkham Asylum
- Primordia
- Walking Dead
- Arma II Arrowhead
- Bioshock Infinite
- A New Beginning
- Alan Wake
- Amnesia
- AI War

Thanks for the help guys, I did some more research on the discussion boards, and managed to solve my own issue.

For anyone having similar issues to mine, please make sure that both computers are opted in to the beta version of steam. I forgot to do this. After doing so, I am able to stream ARMA 3 in on my macbook with no problem!

This is a pretty exciting feature, and will definitely free up space on my macbook air :)

Just attempted to do this (Win 7 to to my Macbook Air running Mav) and it's showing that my PC has a Steam build from Feb 4 but my Mac has a build from Jan 22? Keep trying to update my Mac client but it's not updating beyond the 22nd.
