Gaming Laptop vs Cheap + Headless Server

hey guys..
right now i have two options

Option 1.
i keep my desktop pc (gtx 770 + i5 4670k + 8gb Ram) and buy a 500€ 17 inch Laptop (5200U + HD Graphics)
i could play games like LoL etc. on the Machine itself but at home i would use my Desktop to stream demanding games from my desktop to the laptop..

Option 2.
I sell my deskop (gets me around 300-400€ i think) and buy a better laptop (i5 5210H + gtx 860m) to only play games on the laptop itself.. this one costs around 850€-900€


the streaming option would definately be faster (+114% according to benchmarks) and upgradable but obvisously i could only play demanding games in my home network..

what i dont like about the streaming option is that i would 100% rely on steam in home streaming.. im a little scared that some games wont support streaming and i simply wont be able to play them at all.. also the other options like moonlight/limelight, nvidia shield, teamviewer etc. dont look very promising as an alternative (should steam decide to ditch in home streaming)..

please dont say things like "just get a monitor and use your desktop".. that is currently no option and the desktop would 100% only act as a headless server..

what do you guys think ? is it safe to soley rely on streaming in the future ? i know that nobody can say it for sure but some opinions of people with more streaming experience would greatly help me..
