Stream button not appearing at all

So I've done everything and my PC and laptop are seeing each other, and are connected, everything is updated. However, all I have in my library is the usual "Play" option, there is no Stream or drop down or anything. Any ideas?

Your host PC must be using Windows Vista or later OS...

Make sure you have your in home streaming enabled from the steam-settings-, on EACH machine.
You can set up your host and client settings there too.

I know this is an old post but I had similar issue and found my way here.

For me it only said install, and not stream.

The reason the stream button didn't show for me was because I needed to agree on a document before I could play it. To solve this simply start to install it and it let you agree on everything, cancel the install and then you stream button should show like intended.

If it says play I guess you already have agreed on everything so can't help there... but, why stream it if you can play it directly on the machine or why have it installed if you want to stream it vice versa?
