Screen flickers while streaming
I use Steam In-Home streaming like almost a few months to play a lot of games of my library without any problem, but after the last update everything go to hell, the screen in my client computer flickers like 1 per second, and it´s imposible to play with that!!!

This is what happen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZsN9F26YaY

My specifications are:

Host:
Intel core i5 3.40 ghz
AMD Radeon R7 200 series
8G of Ram
Windows 10

Client:
Intel Core i3
Intel HD Graphics 3000
8G of Ram
Windows 10

I don´t know what to do, the last week everything works fine!!

Same here, been working fine forever and just happened. AMD R7 also.

There are known issues with AMD cards at the moment and Valve is working on that with them.

Thanks for the update

We'll try to get this fixed ASAP.

trying in home streaming with my steam controller and i was wondering why it was flickering.
I have this issue too. Turning off Hardware Decode "fixed" it for me... as in, it goes away... but turning off a feature I'd like to be using is not necessarily a fix. But it's a temporary bandaid.

Same issue here, with host having a 290x vide card. For me it doesn't matter if I have the host hw ecoding on or off. Btw, on my host this option is always off after a restart of the steam program. Do you have the same problem? (using beta steam)

This is INCREDIBLY irritating. I use steam streaming all the time, and this update has BROKEN my ability to do that. Seriously, Valve. I'm incredibly angry about this.

Me too! nothing worse than breaking something that was working perfectly, with an "update" that i didnt ask for nor was given an option to opt out of, and then not even giving us an option to revert back to the old working version.

I am sorry that this bug is affecting you. We're trying to get a fix out this week as part of the Client Beta Update. In the meantime, you can turn off hardware acceleration under advanced host settings on the host computer, or under the client settings on the client computer. As far as I am aware, it is only the combination of hardware acceleration on both sides which suffers from this flickering problem, and only with certain AMD R7 and R9 graphics cards on the host.

Glad I am not the only person having the same problem.

Like Dangus said , turning off "hardware decoding" on the client worked for me.

If i turn off hardware acceleration i got a high steam CPU usage, steam beta update not fixing that.

Exactly the same issue here. Windows 7 and AMD R9 290 graphics card on the host. Turning off hardware acceleration for the host video capture (not the client) fixes the issue.

This is also problem with Windows 7 and AMD HD-7850. Disabling hardware encoding on the host fixes the problem.
