New Game polled D3D11 + AMF H264: slower than software encoder
There is a new encoder for AMD cards in the latest beta. It seems to be slower than the software encoder in my system (i5 2500K + 290X).
While the software encoder can output 60 FPS in the games I tested, the new AMF encoder reguarly dips bellow 50 and at several points it seems to get stuck to 30 FPS.
Image quality is also noticeable worse than the software encoder and the AMD encoder in previous versions.

We will continue to tune the image quality parameters. The framerate drop is a temporary issue with some systems and we will try to have that fixed today.

Thanks for the information. In case this is useful: I am using the latest version of Win10 with the new AMD Crimson drivers.

For me on my 7950 hardware encoding has always been worse than software no matter what drivers. It looks worse and runs worse,

The performance issue is fixed in the latest beta.
Quality still seems lower than Quicksync and software encoders in some games, but we can again choose between 3 encoders to find the best one for each game.

For me software is best by far. Quicksync is fine for speed but suffers from terrible image quality and a low bit rate. AMD hardware encoding is just awful.
