Can we stream MULTIPLE games to Multiple guest machines?
Can we stream MULTIPLE games to Multiple guest machines?

Different games ofcourse (licensing, unless they allow multiple use simultaenously), perhaps this licensing issue is something also that can be added to Steam games.

Since Steam is a PLATFORM with hardware APPLIANCES, this would be a good thing.

A lot of folks are still having issues streaming to ONE machine. Nice thought, but I sincerely hope they remain focussed on host to client streaming rather than adding that.
Can some admin move this to Features & Suggestions please?

You will have 2 big issues to solve:
-having enough CPU and GPU power to play multiple games in one PC (it would most likely require multiple GPUs)
-get Valve to change its policy that for a given account you can only have one game being played at a given time.

Multi-core and process core affinity = CPU
SLI = GPU
Memory = Cheap as chips.

Licensing = Pencil and Paper.

These issues have already been solved. Valve are also one of the leaders in being at the forefront of gaming services platform as we seen over and over again.

With Valve and Steam, yes.

You can "easily" do this already by using virtual machines and multiple Steam accounts.

You could, but, it's not the most convienent of ways.

Once Valve let us gift used games across accounts, then that would be easier.

Yeah, Easy... But with many PCs, you'll find the stream to be lower quality than the local hardware. But to get the performance of a gaming PC, you'll need the equivalent of two PCs hardware in the case. But at that point why bother unless you really need the room.

I think of streaming as for GUESTS, ie., a Party where you get groups of people wanting different games so.. stream both :) I call it PartyMode. You know, when you all want to race ont he big screen but only maybe two can play at once so you get a couple of screens up. Or you have guests who just want something to do so you fix up streaming to their TV's.

It is not something you do all the time.

Not likely to happen, as it essentially uses VNC to beam the session over. Would require multiple steam instances, one for each stream session.

As someone that actually tried to do something similar with VNC, I would say not going to happen as its a PITA, and gets loq quality fast.

They acutally use VNC? Do you have any links to a technical description on how it works on steam?

No links at the moment, but I will post here if I can scrounge up the time to find something.

I haven't been bothered to wireshark the traffic, although I am getting close. Cant stream for crap on any of my systems with my Link. Yet my homebrew and purchased steam machines work perfect, over wireless even. Congested wireless. Congested wireless in an apartment.

It's not over TLS?
