In Home Streaming Issues (90% Packet Loss)
Dear Steam Forum!

I recently tried out Steam In Home Streaming with the following setup:

Server (Laptop):
-Intel Core i5 3210M (2 cores, 2 threads)
-Geforce GTX 640M Le
-12GB RAM
-Windows 64-bit, Latest Steam Client, Latest Nvidia drivers
-Connected using Ethernet

Client (HTPC):
-Intel Atom D525 (2 cores)
-Geforce GT218-ION (3D)
-2GB RAM
-Arch Linux 32-bit, Latest Steam Client from official repositories, Latest proprietary Nvidia drivers
-Connected using Ethernet

Streaming:
-1280x720 resolution (though the goal is 1920x1080)
-Harware Encoding ON (though doesn't seem to make a difference, maybe it is not supported on my card)

The problem I am having is that there seems to be around 90% packet loss on the client side. The encoder (blue line in graph) seems to have a latency of around 10-15ms, while the client has around 200-250ms and the video is extremely choopy (at around 1-3 fps). There doesn't seem to be any problem on the server side, the image there is clear and not laggy at all. I don't exactly know where the problem might lie.

Here are the logs from the two computers:

Any help would be appriciated.

Are you sure both clients are non-beta? I had massive packet loss issues all of the sudden that were apparently caused by my host being on the beta steam while the client was on the regular steam. After reverting the host back to the normal steam, it worked right again

I missused some terms in this report. I made a new report with updated status on my problem here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/homestream/discussions/0/483368526577055782/
To get back to your comment, I never enabled Steam Beta on either machines, but thanks for trying to help :)
