Controller not available on host device within Steam Remote Play

Hello everyone,

a friend and I who live far apart are currently playing Black Myth: Wukong together via Remote Play.

(We just play until someone dies and the other takes over).

It works great, the other person can seamlessly take the controlls but we can't seem to get his controller to work.

For the configuration:

My account is logged into our both computers.

He is hosting and I start the game from my device with "Stream" after I have selected his device.

He can use his keyboad and mouse to control the game.

I can use my keyboard and mouse to control the game, also my controller.

Weirdly enough, his controller does not get recognised by the game.

Are there any settings I might have overlooked within the advanced host or client-settings?
