Network issue steam link
Hello,

I am having issues with my quantum fiber mesh network and streaming on the steam link. It seems that the network speed will slow way down to like 3mbps on both wired and wifi as soon as I launch a game. Desktop streaming is no problem it is only when launching a steam game. Are there any specific recommendations for quantum mesh network to make this work?

Troubleshooting done so far:

Applied QoS to server and client (no improvement)
Opened recommended ports (no improvement)
Disabled both Router firewall and windows firewall(no improvement)
Went wired server to wired client (no improvement)
Updated all software in question (no improvement)
Tried iOS, windows, and Linux clients (no improvement)

Any help would be much appreciated I have come to really enjoy the steamlink option

make sure windows network is set to private, not public
any vpn is disabled
in router settings, you do not need to forward any ports, just make sure wifi isolation is disabled for the ssid used

and on some routers, they use some kind of network optimization, which can interfere with remote play

Thank you for the reply, I have set network to private and vpn disabled with no improvement. Unfortunately quantum/centurylink has ultra limited options for their pods/router gonna dust off my old router and try with that

***Solved***

Was not the network was the host pc. Lenovo had a network optimization setting and gpu over clocking on that was bogging everything down. Shout out to _|_ for pointing me in the right direction
