Do you know if the desktops resolution is changing when you try to play from tv?
It does seem the desktop resolution is changing to HD - if I go to the desktop from the remote client and click display settings, it shows the virtual monitor at 1920x1080. Once I disconnect I can view the virtual monitor showing at 4k.
if its not 4k, add the 4k res in the gpu control panel (and enable gpu scaling so something will display on host pc)
steam -> settings -> remote play
tick change res to match client
and on client link app settings
make sure display res is set to 4k
tv mfgs are stupid, still putting 'fast' (100m/bs) lan ports on them
steam remote play at 4k needs about douible that
use wifi, as that can go faster than the tvs lan port
on host, check host and client streaming settings, both are used for hosting
limit res to 4k, and bandwidth to unlimited and quality to beautiful
on host, make sure steam is set to change res to match client
