A game shuts down while streaming with Hamachi
Hey guys. I tried in-home streaming today using hamachi with my friend from another city. We tried streaming Rise of the Tomb Raider, he was the host. The problem is, that when the game launches, after a couple seconds it immedietely shuts down, exits without any errors. Sometimes I could get past the loading screen to actual gameplay, but then it just completely freezes and the game exits. Not only there, it's also in menu.

I noticed that my connection does this weird thing - my LAN disconnects somehow. After a couple seconds I get the connection back, but isn't it a bit weird? Why would it do that? The host's streaming the game in 720p, with pretty powerful specs, GTX 970, 16GB RAM, and I don't remember the processor, but RotTR runs pretty smoothly in 1080p on it. We also have pretty fast Internet, both of us, there are no lags when the game actually works this couple seconds.

I'm only weirded out because of this lost connection problem. Any ideas how to stop it from disconnecting, therefore causing the game to shut down? It doesn't always disconnect though. Sometimes the game just crashes, and Internet is still there. We're only using hamachi and Steam. Do we need more? Why would we, if the game runs smoothly and THEN crushes?

hmm i would try another vpn, like softether vpn, its easy to setup...you have more control and your not sending the signal out to someone elses vpn server, the server is on your pc so its direct, i tried using hamachi to stream through the internet to my buddies and it sucked, was too unstable. Softether VPN worked for me.
