How do you play with more than 4 people using controllers?
From the marketing page:

> Using Remote Play Together, one player owns and runs the game, then up to four players — or even more with fast connections — can quickly join in the fun.

I have a fast connection. I want to play with more than 4 players.

I only see 4 slots for controllers. How do I get past that? Or is this misleading marketing?

I was playing Boomerang Fu but I don't think the game matters for my question.

The Remote Play Together interface only has 4 controllers to assign to players.

We were 6 people the other day and I could give 4 controllers to people while playing on Keyboard myself, but I couldn't give a controller to the 6th player because there was only 4 controllers to assign. He was connecting just fine and the controller was showing up, but it didn't have a number (1 to 4) on it.

Is there a game known to support more than 4 controllers on Remote Play Together? I'll buy it right away and test it.

steam maps controllers using xinput which has 4 controller limit

if the game supports dinput, it can use more controllers, but only locally, not with remote play
