Cannot get Non-Steam game to accept input from Steam Link/Deck
Used to be able to put Steam into Admin mode and launch Genshin Impact as a non-steam game and have it accept input from a 8bitdo controller connected to the Samsung Smart TV via bluetooth. Tried to do the same thing with the Steam Deck and it didn't work. I recently followed the instructions in this guide on reddit but this no longer seems to work. I don't know if it is related to the new big picture mode or everything getting moved into Steam Input.

steam -> library -> select game -> gear -> properties -> controller tab -> allow steam input = enabled

but the samsung link app is way outdated, and will not work properly if you update the tv
samsung tv link app forum here

but if you have more problems, complain on samsungs tv forums
they are the ones not supporting the link app anymore

Same issue. Nothing to do with Samsung TV in my case. Non-Steam games detected controllers connected to my NVidia Shield TV via Steam Link with no issues previously. Now they are not detected at all no matter what I set within Properties > Controller for the game listing I added to Steam. I'm using standard Xinput controllers that Steam recognizes as "Xbox 360 controller"... and they work fine in Steam games, of course, and also when connected directly to the PC.

Yeah this pretty much what I'm seeing. I've been able to remote play games on steam like Black Desert or Monster Hunter World from my Deck or TV with no issues. Genshin just doesn't seem to get the controller input from Steam.
