Can I Stream my Deck to my Notebook without internet connection (direct connection)?
SO I want to Stream games like DOOM Eternal to my office notebook from my steam deck to enjoy the bigger screen and mouse aiming. However I have a bad connection to my router, so I wonder if I can stream the game through wifi directly to my notebook?

If so how do I do this?

it can stream to the notebook using direct lan/wifi connection

but both will need internet to begin

using link app or if both are logged into the same steam account

either way
make sure windows network is set to private not public
check router config, make sure wifi isolation is disabled
any vpn is disabled
steam -> settings -> remote play -> allow direct = all/auto/my not disabled

Ah, very interesting, I presume "allow direct" means the deck and notebook skip the router and connect each other directly? Does this work with decent latency on 1080p?

no, it skips steams internet relays, still uses your lan

it works great, about 1-2 frames behind the host pc <20ms

even at a friends hose 40 min drive away is <40ms, and works great with not enough lag to hurt any gameplay
my internet upload is 50mb/s
steam uses around 30-40mb/s avg
