Steam link app not available or visible for Nvidia shield pro on Google play store

What's up with that? Just bought it but can't find the app.

are the host and client on the same subnet?

check their network ips, 192.168.same.different
then try pinging the client from the host

Think you misunderstood. I had to sideload the steam link app on nvidia shield because it wasn't available in the playstore. It's not just the shield. It's also my regular android TV... Think it's a new development....

the devices will get a lan ip address
see if you can ping them from the host pc, and they get a similar ip address
check the network settings on the smart tv and roku or whatever you are streaming to

if one or more of them are using wifi, log into the router and disable wifi isolation

then they should be able to find the host pc name
if not, add device the tv will give a code
then on the host pc
steam -> settings -> remote play -> pair steam link -> enter the code from link app or tv

Dont get me wrong, I mean I don’t post much on the forum. But it does help to actually read what people type. Your answer has nothing to do with his problem.
