Does anyone use Steam Link on Amazon tablets?

Hello. I use Steam Link on Amazon Tablet Fire HD10 2021. The other device is the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. No issues at all on the Note 9, but the Amazon tablet does. The device name is marked as Amazon KFTRWI.

The problem is, the "start" button doesn't work when using the x-box controller.

Before starting a game in the remote play menu, pressing the "Start" button seems to function as a "Back" button.
When you launch the game, the "Start" button doesn't work at all within the game.
So I can't play the game through the Steam link. This is because most games enter the menu via the "Start" button to browse through items or check missions.

Has anyone ever solved this problem?

I've sent a query to Steam, but haven't received a helpful response.

grab the apk from steam and install that instead of using the amazon store

Instead of using the Amazon tablet in its original state, I installed the Google Play Store using Fire Toolbox and downloaded the Steam Link application from the Google Play Store and was using it.

This is the version I am currently using. (the version with the problem)

Amazon KFTRWI - Android 9 Steam Link 1.1.89.225

Note: There is no problem with the 'Start' button in GBA emulator games or PPSSPP games.

When you say "mapping to host", does host mean to map with mouse & keyboard on Steam Remote Play on my desktop? It's a button problem on the game controller, but I don't know the meaning of going through the recommended settings with keyboard & mouse.

I don't know what bpm means. what i did

After launching the Steam Link app on my Amazon tablet, without pressing start play, go to the 'Settings -> Controller -> Controller Settings' menu to set mapping. However, pressing the guide button returns to the Android home screen, so the corresponding key cannot be set. Here, my problem is that the start button works as a back button. Therefore, even the start key cannot try to map in this current mapping stage. Assuming that this problem does not occur in other apps, it is assumed that there is some problem with the compatibility of the Steam Link app and the Amazon tablet. In addition, the share and capture buttons added to the Xbox 4th generation controller cannot be mapped. Pressing does nothing.

Let's give up unless Steam solves it.

can you test it on the tablet?

link menu -> settings -> controller -> test

if that doesnt work correctly

can you plug it into a pc, and post its usb pid/vid
brand/model of the controller
and maybe a link from where you purchased it

and post that info in the steam link subforum so they can add it

I've tried it many times and in various ways, but it seems to be a compatibility issue between the Steam Link app and the Amazon tablet.

It seems that it cannot be resolved unless Steam takes some action.
