No Sound Remote Play Steam
I have an issue.
I started the game on the main computer and wanted to play on the laptop in another room, but it turned out that there was no sound in the broadcast. I tried to change the sound quality from 24 to 16 bits - it did not help.
There is no checkbox in the Steam remote settings opposite to play sound on the source.
How can i fix this problem? On another laptop all work good.

Try checking the audio from the host, right click on the audio option in the task bar and double check that its going to the right place. Ei steam remote play and not somewhere else.

On host PC audio going to the Steam Streaming Speakers. When i connect another laptop to host's stream - audio work good on it.

disable all unused sound devices
windows has trouble switching between the most recently used devices when more than 2 are enabled

FYI:

In case the above don't work, there appears to be a bug with how this works if the host is connected to a TV.

The sequence that does *NOT* work:

- Start game on host
- Turn off TV (host still running)
- Start Steam Link on client

This sequence results in no audio.

But if you start Steam Link on the client BEFORE turning off the TV on the host, it works.

Which makes no sense, because Steam is still running regardless.

This makes me think that HDMI might somehow be the culprit, and Windows being able to redirect the audio stream.

Of course, this doesn't really help you if you're nowhere near the TV and don't have a way to remotely turn it on.

Exactly my scenario. If I launch the game with the TV turned off there is no sound. And as mentioned, only works if I'm at home. :(

Thank you
