Retroid pocket 2 steam link problem

I'm trying to get some games streaming on my rp2 but the digital stick only registers left and right inputs on steam link. I've tested the inputs outside of steam link and they work fine but when I enter steam link, the stick only moves through menus left and right and only looks In game left and right.

I've tried remapping the buttons and sticks but it won't even let me change it. It allows me to select the key I want to bind then it just sits and doesn't let me press anything. I've even tried on my pc, it won't let me rebind any keys for my retroid. Unlike my rockcandy 360 controller which I can remap no problem.

I'm currently on version 6.1 and I'm hoping I don't have to update to fix it just because I'm scared ill somehow mess it up more, but if 8.1 is a solution that would be cool too.

I was having the same problem. Remap in the Steam Link Android app instead.
