8700k Intel Quick Sync Video not working
I'm trying to use Intel Quicksync instead of the Nvidia Encoder to see if my display latency goes down with in-home-streaming. But Steam doesn't use Quicksync at all.
I tried to use older intel driver versions too, but no chance.

My Specs:

Intel 8700k (coffee lake)
Asrock Z370 Gaming-ITX
Intel UHD 630 Driver Version (24.20.100.6346)
GTX 1080

What I've tried so far:

The Intel GPU is enabled in the bios. I have two cables from my computer to the monitor ,one for the intel gpu (since i can't make a virtual screen anymore on newest windows 10), on for the discrete graphics card.

In Steam In-home-streaming settings, everything is unchecked on the hardware encoder tab besides quick sync.

To verify I enabled performance overlay, and checked the log. Steam doesn't bother to use quick sync at all. Always shows me:
Capture method set to Steam D3D10 NV12 + libx264 baseline (4 threads)

When trying the handbrake video encoder and selecting the quicksync ecoding support, it shows that quick sync is supported and details me everything that the hardware encoder supports in the logs when converting a video. So I assume it should work.

Does anyone have a similar problem, and found a working solution.
Thanks.
