odd stutter/lag problem
so im running steamlink on my tv.

lets take rocket league for example.
if i just stay on the play field and dont touch anything. its streams perfectly. as soon as i hit a wall. or touch the ball or jump. i get this lag spike for about a second or 2 then it goes back to normal.

trackmania is a similar thing. if i stay on the track perfectly, it runs great, if i touch a wall, i get the lag spike again.

i can see my computer is running it perfectly at all times, and my controller is still sending signals through the lag spike as well.

im running an i7 3770k and an amd rx580
ive tried running steamlink on my laptop and my raspberry pi, both the same thing, also through wireless and wired ethernet connections.

so i think it has something to do with the stream encoding if its doing it on both my laptop and the pi?

ive tried amd hardware encoding off and on. all the client options even down to 480p and it still does it.

any ideas?

so just to check i put my old gtx 560ti in and it does the same thing. so i dont think its something to do with nvidia or amd encoding.

Ok I figured it out. So incase anyone else has a similar problem.

It was the controller vibration. Turned it off in the settings and it's all good now.

I'm running retropie with steam link and ps3 controllers.
