Stream using hotspot on host

Is it possible to create a hotspot on the host machine and stream it to the other windows machine? I don't have a strong router so it's not possible for me to do it on simple wifi

Yes, this is possible - if your NIC supports hosted network mode. Will it help you in your case? Most probably not.

Given that there´s no real info on your setup or what is happening between your host and client, here are some possible solutions for you:

- go for a better router
- go for some powerline adaptors
- go for a wired connection
- go for a repeater
- did I mention go a better router? ;)

Getting a better router is one thing but I have a strong WiFi reciever on my host machine from which I intend to stream, and it is capable of creating a 5 ghz hotspot but the problem is when I connect my secondary pc to the hotspot , steam doesn't recognize it. When I connect direct lan between the two pc (crossed link) I am able to stream. But it's not practical with a wire. So am I doing something wrong while creating the hotspot? Even the Windows network places recognize the two pcs when connected through the hotspot from the host.

Ok i have narrowed down my problem, i am not able to stream even through a router in the same network on wifi. It works if its a wired connection but on wifi it isnt working. What do i need to do? i have streaming enabled
