How to stream Origin games?
Does anyone know how to stream origin games like Battlefield 1 properly through stream in home streaming (ensure 60 fps and not the 30 fps lock, etc.)? Thanks

most of those games with external launchers will give you troubles. maybe it would be a good idea to ask origin / uplay / whatever for a solution. this is beyond control of valve.

I'm usually stream Origin SW Battlefront, along with Minecraft with enanched shaders FYI, to my Win10 tablet with no particual issue.
The frame rate is stable around 60.

The only tips I found critical is NOT to use BPM in either Client and Host, or you'll get stutter 10-20 seconds and recover..
Is annoying as I have the host machine in my living room, and I usually use it in BPM..

Indeed yes, I use the streaming function in reversed mode as it was inteded to use :P

The thing is, when I stream Battlefield 1, it constantly dips to 30fps during high intense scenes (smoke, explosions, etc.) but the fps is fine on my main rig. Is there any reason why it would do this? Also, I am not using BPM on either machines so thats not a factor for me atleast.

How powerful is the host machine? If it doesn't have hardware encoding capabilities when its own resources are being taxed by the game it might let the CPU encoding of the video slide to ensure it doesn't impact the main rigs game performance.

I don't have BF1 but I do not notice any big drop in SW:BF.
My Host is a i5-6400 and nvidia 960, not a power horse, but not so shy.

Be sure to enable Hardware Encoding in the host and hardware Decoding in the client

My host machine is using a i5-4670K along with a GTX 770 2gb and has 8gb of memory. Would this be enough for BF1?

Oh and hardware encoding + decoding is enabled in both host and client

I have no issues streaming bf1, What i do is add origin as a non steam game, make sure origin is completely closed on the host pc first. and DISABLE origin overlay for bf1. Then simply select origin from client pc and then launch bf1. having no issues playing this way.

Can I ask what your system specs are?

Origin Games work streaming from my gaming Windows laptop to my Linux desktop, both Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 4 work great when I launch Origin via Steam in-home streaming.
