Intel UHD Graphics 620 sufficient for h264 decoding?
Wondering if this is sufficient for decoding on the slave laptop.

My PC is not an issue.

Have tried to dig on this myself but can't come up with a satisfying answer.

help so very appreciated..!

Essentially, I am trying to determine whether the new xps 13's can handle the throughput to my LG tv.

It can decode the stream in HW, but don´t expect any wonders.

It handles streaming on the client side at 1440p@60Hz without problems. :)

I am watching 4K (2160P) on my ultrabook with a 605, so the GPU isn't the point. It's more ram amount and connection (wired or not) that matters. oh, H264&265 of course

Are you watching movies in 30 FPS or are you actually receiving a 60 FPS Remote Play Stream?

Because in my case the Intel UHD performance was not sufficient for the latter, see https://steamcommunity.com/groups/homestream/discussions/0/3040432704968588075/
(I had 8 GB RAM and a wired gigabit connection.)

but i think i have read some time ago 4k video acceleration is limited to 30 frames in 4k, but not sure. anyway my ultrabook is 1920, so 60 frames runs well.
i meant 4k videos before, whis is produced in 24 frames, and i guess this is what intel had focus on :/ Intel isn't focusing on gaming....
