Change desktop resolution to match streaming client

I have issues with this setting, i.e. it is just not doing what it should according to my understanding what it should.
Is this working for anyone and can I see somewhere in the streaming log if it does what it should do (what should I see in there then)?

I have my host (just a normal Windows 10 machine) set to 1920x1200, while my TV needs to get 16:9, so I have set my client (also just a regular Windows 10 machine, just less capable, running Steam in BPM) to 1920x1080, and have set this flag to ON on my host machine.

However it just seems to do nothing, host resolution just stays as it is when I start streaming, causing me to get large black borders on all four sides of the picture, in the streaming logs I see:

Maximum capture: 1920x1080 49.75 FPS
Capture resolution set to 1728x1080
CLIENT: Video size: 1728x1080, output size: 1920x1080

So I manually change resolution on the host and start streaming again, which makes everything fine, logs showing:

Maximum capture: 1920x1080 49.75 FPS
Capture resolution set to 1920x1080
CLIENT: Video size: 1920x1080, output size: 1920x1080

However this is a pain, doing that again back and forth every time I want to stream to my TV.

I have this same problem when streaming from host with 21:9 screen to phone or laptop that both have 1080p resolution.

Do you have this problem also in-game, or only in the steam big picture mode?
It could be the same issue as described here:

So far no solution is available as far as I know.

I have the problem ingame. Sometimes it works for me choosing ingame another resolution, sometimes it doesn't.
