Seem to be having good luck with this.
So now I press Alt-Enter, then double click the top of the screen to enter windowed mode. Then I Alt-Tab to use other programs on the client machine.
When I'm done with other programs, I activate the streaming window, then press Alt-Enter to re-enter full screen mode on the stream.
No freezes yet.
Really?
[EDIT] What's awesome was that alt-enter, as was suggested above, worked - when the game I was streaming was windowed it didn't crash when I alt-tabbed away! Then there was a steam patch and now any time I alt-tab it crashes. Woke.
Having the exact same problem, and it only started a few days ago. Never had it before, though i've seen it mentioned, but now it happens every time i alt tab, any game i try. I tried graphic driver reinstalls, disabling dynamic resolution adjustments and all other tips i could find, but no luck.
This seems to help in the mean time.
[edit] ok, so when i go into the client options and turn off hardware encoding im able to tab out and in, but the game's screen is frozen. when i turn it back on it goes back to taking a crap whenever i hit tab or window...
