Having issues alt-tabbing on client
I'm not sure how to explain this but I've always been able to alt-tab on the client machine while streaming a game and be able to use other programs on the client machine. Starting today after a minute or two after alt-tabbing on the client machine the game i am streaming on the host machine comes back into focus on the client machine. If I alt-tab out again the streaming client freezes.

It's worked fine for over a year. I have no idea why the issue suddenly popped up today. I've tried restarting both PC's and made sure Steam is up to date on both PC's.

Same Alt-tab crashes the stream the only way to get out of it after is Alt-F4 which is stupid.

been happening to me too since earlier today. only gives me about a 20 second window to be tabbed out before the game pops back. gets pretty annoying when you need to search something, or chat to someone

Found out alt-enter is a workaround of sorts.

Window will freeze if its more than a minute or two though.

I added the -steamos parameter on the clients copy of Steam and I have been alt-tabbing out with no issue. This disables the Steam overlay but I'm fine with that as a temporary fix.

Ditto. Started today for me. Any game. Very frustrating.

Tried this, also tried disabling it via "In Game" under settings. still have the issue.

I've noticed that the issue is intermittent. It doesn't occur 100% of the time but I cant detect a pattern.

Yeah I was trying everything I could think of and right after adding the -steamos parameter it worked for a long time which is why I was so sure of it and posted the comment, but it stopped working again and then the next day it was working again so I have no idea.

It was working last night so I figured I'd keep a game running instead of letting the host go to sleep and it's still working right now.

Alt-Esc also works sometimes.

Same problem here. One temporary fix is to stop the streaming and start it back up again. Some games don't mind that. But the overall new bugginess of alt-tabbing is very frustrating. It's on and off for me, too.

I seem to lose sound if I do that.
