As an update, I've recently tried Anydesk, and while it was almost able to stream visuals and keyboard inputs, it's, a different kind of program, and doesn't have much customization for this kind of usage.
This was a while ago, but I've messed around with a RasberryPi since last posting, and to be specifically relevant, I'd made a program to respond to keypresses by sending a message to a program running on the RPi that then "does things" (drone stuff, not important).
Later, I tried taking that code and replacing "does things" with "mimic keypresses" and tested with my friend's pc who's a few hundred miles away at the time, and this worked reasonably well, which is to say, the delay/response time in sending inputs was in line with our ping ranges we have between us, so for sending control inputs, I guess this is done pretty easily once you figure out how to program communication between machines. (In it's current state, I don't think controllers work, but they might if you map controller buttons to keyboard keypresses... Is a bit #$%^ of a prototype to be honest, I'm more into computational/mathematics tbh, so it's a bit outside my field.)
...Still haven't attempted anything with streaming AV though, but the OBS to hosted server is still the most likely alternative I'm aware of...
can be sideloaded on many streaming devices including steam link
