Can't get past Steam Input Dialog Box

When I try to stream game, I get the "Would you like to accept secure desktop input from Steam?....." I am unable to click the OK or CANCEL button. Enter does not work, no response is available to the dialog box. I have to close the window via the task bar. Am I missing something in a setting? Windows 10 desktop is master, Windows 10 laptop is slave.

I had to remove the password on my user account so that Windows would sign me right in and skip the sign-in screen. Not a great work-around.

I have solved it. It happened to me because previously I had a open remote session on the master server.
If I don't connect previously, the dialog box does not appear.

I've solved it using team viewer programm. I set up unattended access on the main machine. When dialog appeared I've used team vieawer to connect to it and ended up on the same login screen that is shown by steam streaming. In teamviewer session I was able to interact with dialog and to enter the password for account on server. After that streaming started working as it should.

You can keep teamviewer session alive after that to forward sound if steam fails that.

I do not understand. How can you launch Steam if you do not login to you hosting computer ?

Launching Steam in admin from the hosting computer fixed the problem

Hi I'm having this problem while trying to connect to a host from my steam link, but the host is a VM. Therefore there's no way to physically "go" to the host and accept the dialog. What can I do? We're experimenting with using Steam Link's protocols for an enterprise solution, so bypassing security by disabling the lock screen is not an option.

You need to unlock your PC. This is possible when using a remote client that does NOT automatically after the session. I personally recomend VNC server for this. Teamviewer should work the same.

You can RDP into your PC, install VNC, connect from your client to the host and then play.
I know this is not ideal since you have an additional client on your machine, but it's still better than leaving the PC without a password.

Solved. The methods are as follows.

Suppose that you have PC A and B, your game is installed on A, and you wanna play on B. May be B is in your office and A is at your home.

1) On B, RDP into A.

2) Launch steam on both A and B. (In B, you should see "Stream" button on the game you are to play)

3) Click "stream" button on B. (It will fail because you will see the boring dialog box)

4) Switch back to A, you can see that on A, your game has been launched.

5) On A, launch cmd.exe as administrator.

6) type "qwinsta" and press enter, no quotes are required.

7) You should see the active sessions list on your A. One of them is your RDP session, with your username followed. One of them named "concole" is what your steam on B attempted to login but failed. Please remember the session ID of the former. (The ID should be an integer.)

8) Type "tscon SESSIONID /password:PWD /dest:console" in the cmd on A. Change SESSIONID to the number you remembered, and PWD to your normal windows user password, leave the rest intact. Press enter. (This command will attach the RDP session to the console session)

9) Once you pressed enter, your RDP to A will immediately disconnect. Now, back to B, on your steam game page, click "Stop" button, then click "connect" button, you are ready to remote play :)

I had the same problem. But my brother pulled up a page that shows all the windows open and he was able to click the X icon above it. I was worried af about my computer. Hope this helps!
