"Streaming requires additional driver installation"

Hey, tried to stream to my laptop and i got this message:
"Stream launch failed
Streaming requires additional driver installation.
please follow prompts on the remote computer"
However, no such prompt is shown, and googling literally yields 5 results, non in english..... im stuckarino. Also streaming used to work, so its not a network issue.
Thanks in advance to anyone who tries to help ^^

Icon of steam - right button on icon - propities - and in string "Target" after "..\Steam.exe" u need to type -skipstreamingdrivers - like this -> https://puu.sh/wVWv7/881ca99610.png

Has this issue been sorted? My steam link streaming worked a few weeks ago but two nights ago it gave me the "needs additional drivers" BS when I wanted to stream a racing game for a party.

But when I go to the host computer, there is no popup. A blank, transparent square box shows up on the desktop and there is nothing to click. Restarting steam, restarting the link, restarting the computer does nothing.

I have the same issue. I added the skip flag in steam startup on both client and server machine and it does not seem to matter. I have also tried setting the steam streaming stero device to be my primary device and I get no audio on the client. Is there any plan to push out a fix for this soon?

My experience is identical to this. My streaming worked just a few days ago...

This still seems to be happening unless you put in the launch flag.

Clicked on the steam icon in my task bar tray and it brought up Audio file instillation needed. I clicked okay and now its working fine.

I'm streaming from ubuntu zesty to windows 10. there's a kind of a phantom popup on the win 10 that doesn't register in as anything until you alt-tab to it. I could close the screen from the alt-tab menu. What worked for me was having steam client launched and focused with no other windows on the windows machine, tried the stream on the remote computer where i got the popup, went back to windows machine where the Audio Driver Installation finally showed up. Installed driver, all is well.

For Mac users (after closing out of Steam), open terminal and paste "/Applications/Steam.app/Contents/MacOS/steam_osx -skipstreamingdrivers". Not ideal, but works for me.

To all with the problem of stuttering everey few seconds: My second PC has got a RX480 and it works fine -.- A 200$ graphics card runs better than a 1000$ card??? I´m so pissed of
