It's working, but framerate is as bad as connected through router. Since my pc is a nice rig, I think steam link is just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ product.

Or maybe you just simply don´t know what you´re doing?! ;)
Honestly: what´s the problem? Without any details, nobody will be able to help...
RayoTrueno Feb 3, 2017 @ 10:41am
Low fps in games, tested doom and ROTTR, in pc they run very good.

I have RX480, amd fx8350, 16 Gb ram

My games run beautifully in my pc, but steam link is awful. Only able to watch movies properly. I tested connection through wifi, cable directly to pc and wired router and every time performance is awful.

If you can help me I will be very pleased.

either steam link is the problem or my network cable is the problem, but I've had no problems with my internet connection lately.
RayoTrueno Feb 3, 2017 @ 6:22pm
I tested the steam link with another network cable and same issues, low framerate and blurry picture.

I checked all recommended options, prioritize network traffic, hardware encoding for ati cards, beautiful settings, etc. but image when trying to play a demanding game or playing a 1080 video is garbage.

I don't know if people saying that steam link works flawlessly are lying to us or lying to themselves, but this thing is useless for playing games at a good quality. I can watch movies at 720p or play simple games at 1080p, but it's not the reason I bought this product.

Please I ask steam support for a solution, thank you.

Did you check your logs? You could also share them, so somebody might be able to point into the direction of your problem.

Here´s a good guide: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/homestream/discussions/0/540733523404402134/

My first guess would be that you have set bandwidth to "unlimited"...
RayoTrueno Feb 4, 2017 @ 2:06am
Yes, checked my.logs, everything looks fine to me.

I will check the bandwith option. I had it in "automatic". What option do you recommend? Thank you.

Last log, playing rise of the TR. The game was jumping from 30 to 60 fps when it wanted. Really annoying.

Another log, playing at 720p same game, same section. Now the image is a bit blurry but at least fps are steady, doesn't look like 60 fps but it's playable.

Man I was so happy with my hdmi 10 meter cable (till it broke). I will try to cope with this 720p blurry games ♥♥♥♥ because I play mostly on my monitor and will be leaving this house sooner than later, but if that wasn't the case, I would pass an hdmi cable through the wall, use steam link as a drinks coaster and quit having this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ problems.

I thank you everyone trying to help, but this ♥♥♥♥ is consuming my time and I am really sick of this.
