I know, my point just silly, becouse thats difficult fill list - so many VN aren't on Steam.
Sorry for my terrible english.
For the first post at least, I wanted to list only freeware/web games or games that were reasonably easy to purchase. I also wanted to start out with games that had a readily available English version.
Your English is better than any of my secondary languages.
One thing to note though, if you look on the visual novel database there are literally 1000+ Yuri games that aren't released on Steam.
It might be better to clarify this list, and only list games that you personally have played and recommend, or only list games that are licensed and/or available for sale in English. Otherwise we're just gonna have people posting every well known yuri game ever made.
Pedantry mode on - No, not really. Games are tagged 'yuri' on VNDB if they include a f/f scene at any point, and many male-protagonist-female-harem games have a scene between two girls at some point.
The tag for games that are primarily yuri has less than 150 games in it. https://vndb.org/g1986?fil=tag_inc-1986.tagspoil-0;m=0;o=d;s=tagscore
That's still a lot, though. And yeah, trying to post a huge long list of them in here, especially if you're just briefly naming them, gets pretty hard to read and make sense of.
(edit - i wrote Steam when I meant VNDB oops)
Ah whoops. Didn't realize there was a more specific tag. I just typed in yuri and assumed that that was the right one.
Thanks for the list!
They're fanservice-heavy brawlers with an all-girl cast of powerful schoolgirl ninjas who destroy each other's clothes while fighting, with giant boobs with comedy physics bouncing all over the place.
Some of the girls are romantically linked to each other, (and one of them just goes around trying to sexually harrass the others with surprise boob fondles...)
I think the story has a good balance of heroics, sentimentality and stupidity. Ok.... maybe the stupidity wins out in the end. XD
These games are just really ridiculous and cute and funny. I am fond of them. :)
Also - I have heard that there's going to be an HD remake of Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus on PC, coming out next summer!
Nope, the thread's definitely not PC only (I did add GrimGrimoire after all). It's just that it seems that the vast majority of game titles with prominent yuri in them are available on PC. There are a few yuri oriented titles coming up on console/mobile such as Land of no Night (PS3, PS4, Vita), Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni (Vita), Valkyrie Drive: Siren (iOS/Android) but unfortunately they've not been released yet.
* If you happen to have a copy of the Utena game for Sega Saturn (I do!), it's been fan-translated into English recently (just last month!) - I still need to rip it and patch it and stuff. :D
* Summon Night Swordcraft Story (GBA) - I remember when this came out, people were saying that if you choose a female character and a female guardian, your character and your guardian can share romantic affection. :)
* Summon Night 5 (PSP) is said to be due out sometime this year, published by Gaijinworks, and as far as I know has the same dynamic as before. It's a bit late for a new PSP game, I know, but as far as I know it's still going ahead.
* "Yoru no nai kuni / Land of No Night", is going to be released next year in North America under the name "Nights Of Azure". From the initial descriptions it seemed like it would be old-style super-tragic yuri, but it's difficult to see whether that was right, or what it'll end up being when it's released in English. There seems to be a bit of debate about it on the internet.
* I remember hearing there was some yuri content in the Fatal Frame / Project Zero series, but I have no idea what. I figured "in a horror game" is probably not ideal.
* Same goes for the (incredibly rare) PS2 horror game "Rule Of Rose". Actually, I vaguely remember this one being noted as being pretty grim, whatever the actual content was.
I'm sure there must be more. I just need to remember them.
There are some more articles on it today; it seems like they've stripped all mentions of love between the girls out of the English version promotional text (it seems it is now officially a story about strong friendship), and some of the commenters say it was only light / implied / one-sided to begin with in the original version.

So - I dunno. I mean, it seems very much down to interpretation.
I'm thinking it might end up on the level of something like Noir (the anime), or alternatively, in the way my brain interprets Bayonetta 2.
In my mind, Bayonetta and Jeanne became way more than just ancient shopping buddies. I mean, Bayonetta literally ran into Hell without hesitation, to save Jeanne in Bayonetta 2! I am pretty sure if the same happened to any of the men in that game, she would have got "oh it was his own silly fault" and just gone on with her day.
But I think that's just how things turned out in my head; it's not actually real or anything. But it is still completely satisfying. :)
While that's kind of a bummer, I've worked with "subtext that is barely edging around just text" sort of crap before so...ehhh, not a total deal breaker. Still, I'm pretty bummed out that it's not just a straight up relationship but meh.
The weird girls-kiss-each-other-then-turn-into-weapons-and-fight game "Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni" for Vita might get an English language release; trophies in English have been spotted.
