Yeah Kannamemo is probably the best of them - especially since there is a canon couple that is ADORABLE. Why cant we just have more couples like that.
- Yuyushiki (ゆゆ式)
It's about three girls that are the "Data Processing Club" wich means google all the day interesting things. Yuzuko, Yui and Yukari. It's just about they daily lifes, and about how they thinks about things in the club, in they weird way.
The yuri, is because both Yuzuko and Yukari seems to be in love with Yui, the most serious member. And maybe there's something between Yuzuko and Yukari too.
And another classmate is in love with Yui too... and her friend is jealous...
Well... it's pretty yuri. At some points even the classmates realize.
And it's really fun.
- Non Non Biyori (のんのんびより)
It's about Hotaru, a girl from Tokyo that goes to live in a small village in the country. There she meets a befriend the local girls, the sisters Natsumi and Komari, and the cutest thing ever Renge.
Pretty fun and relaxing series, about their daily lives. Adorable. And Hotaru falls in love at first sight with one of them. Cute.
- Love Live (ラブライブ!)
It's about a group a girls that want to save their school wich is about close making an idol group.
It's pretty fun and cute to watch. And the music is fantastic.
It's subtext. Heavy, heavy subtext.
Or not, one of the duets speaks about a "forbidden love" and a "maze of lilies" and one of the girls singing it when asked what do you like in a game says "Cute girls".
And I know that you said normal school life, but you should consider watching Symphogear and Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha. Both involve fighting and powers. But are very good and very very VERY yuri.
The first season of symphogear has some BIG quality (a infamous part looks like animated in Flash) but is great anyways. The budget in the second and third goes up and both looks great.
And YYWY, is just a masterpiece IMO.
PS: I don't want to sound pedantic or something, but consider not using the term "shoujo-ai", please. In japanese has a complete different meaning.
It's better just to say "yuri".

But, at least is heavy subtext, IMO, of course.
After all we have...
Two girls that sleeps together. Even when they have two beds.
One of them tells the other that she's her "sunshine and besides her is the warmest place on earth" while holding hands in the bed.
And in the second season...
When Miku activates her gear, her song is a love song to Hibiki.
Remember that the Gear song is a song from the heart of the user.
Love Song. Not even subtext anymore.
And then we have Kirika and Shirabe.
When they fight each other they keep shouting to each other that they're fighting to protect the other. And they shout to each other. "I love you!".
Plus the TONS of subtext moments...
Like the 3rd Season, and all those moments between Tsubasa and Maria, ending with that full face blush of Maria.
PS: Saki is awesome! Nodoka x Saki and Mairu x Himeko all the way.
And while it has super powers (Mahjong Super Powers!) is just fantastic.
How could I forget about Saki... I'm not worthy!!
P.S. Not worry, we all might forget about something. )
P.S.S. And again i must apologize for my english, because my bad knowledge and i don't write more intresting, sorry. (And i realy hate cople moment in 3'rd season of SG, because Maria - wtf with her damn berserk power and just dishonored all of Hibiki work in second season?? Wtf she stole Hibiki Gangnir?? I hate Maria, she just Kanade clone.)
Remember Nanoha, living with Fate and adopting a child.
And now we have things like Miku and Hibiki from Symphogear.
In Puella Magi Madoka Magica we have the love of Homura for Madoka driving the entire plot. And her rewritting all the reality to be able to be with Madoka... that's not subtext at all
And in Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha we have Tougou wich is canon lesbian, and in love with Yuuna, wich seems that reciprocates.
Hopefuly this tendency will keep going and we will sometime see two Mahou Shoujo kissing on screen without any excuse.
PS: Poor Maria, don't hate her! She had a hard life! And I don't think that she's a Kanade clone... but for sure seems to be the new wife for Tsubasa!
Maria and Tsubasa are wife and wife and Chris, Kirika and Shirabe are the childrens!
And the thing that I didn't like that much in the 3rd season was wasting too much time with Hibiki daddy's issues.
PSS: No, I can't forget about Saki. It's one of my favorite series ever!! I'm a failure as fan!!
By the same studio the Monogatari series has subtext, and an openly lesbian character. Though, it has some supernatural stuff, it has very little action. It's almost all just talking.
I hate Maria, she replace Kanade: same gear, similar hair, similar "hard" past, similar development story, her relathionship which Tsubasa. And she doing only other people's will, not have own (she just watch and do nothing, when Hibiki lost her arm and could die because "mama" said and it's just one example) and not have her own gear, just take other people's again. I think, her character made hastily for "more numbers ". And she's so... so bitchy! (but, so suits her). No, i not hate her because her character, i hate the one who decision her so irresponsible. Maria deserves more when be just a shadow of Kanade (Hibiki in 3'rd season)
P.S. And Maria grown up in end of 3'rd season (her REAL grown up). I like this, but it has spent a lot of time

I wish too for canon 100% yuri series. But, baby steps.
I dream that someday yuri anime will be popular and will not bomb. I dream of lots of yuri manga being animated, and not only subtext shows.
I dream with a YURITOPIA!!
And respecting Symphogear... Poor Maria, it's all part of her character development. She always had good intentions, but the poor girl has the worse luck ever.
When she got Serena's gear, and made up her mind, she was the first to destroy an auto-scorer.
She's a bit like Mami from Madoka Magica. The best but with SERIOUS psychological issues.
And another thing... How could we all have forgotten to mention...
Kiniro Mosaic
That cute show is yuri overboard!! The anime is overflowing with cute delicious yuri.
Heck. It's about a british girl that goes to live in Japan just to be with the japanese girl that she met in a trip. A japanese girl with a serious blonde fetish.
And they have a friend who is obviously in love with her dense best friend.
And then in the second season the other blonde get her own girl too.
Yuri, yuri everywhere!! And it's cute and really fun. It's a must watch.
And, if we talk of Kin-iro and subtext, when how about Koufuku Graffiti?
But, it's not even near of the yuri level of Kiniro Mosaic. Kiniro Mosaic is literally overflowing with lesbianism.
Ah.... It's my turn to apologize. I dropped Kinmosa after the first season. I just wasn't that into it. If you want something similar though...
Is the Order a Rabbit? a.k.a Gochuuman wa Usagi Desu ka?
This is another of those very yuri series which isn't exactly yuri. It's not about school girls, but about girls who work in coffee shops. Overall it's very relaxing, and has almost no supernatural elements. I think Cocoa is definitely some form of gay.
Hehe, of course, but KG still have strong subtext - Kirin say what she ready to marry on Ryō. Is it not enough?))
And don't forget about Hanayamata - very-very slight, but absolutely 100% yuri about school, slice of life, dancing and super very cute girl Naru.
All the main characters are girls and yep its pretty yuri.
Its comedy-centric and slice of life so dont expect anything plot heavy. Also some of its jokes is kinda on the offensive side, so yeah.
