Switch between vanilla and redux?

Hello this is probably some basic knowledge but how do I exactly install redux but easily switch from redux to vanilla so I can play online too? Something with copying the bin folder?

i have made a folder for an un modded gta and another with mods, just make sure that you rename the one you want to use Grand Theft Auto V so that steam will recognize it. So for me i usually have one named Grand Theft Auto V and the other Grand Theft Auto V clean

so you have two different folders but how do you switch them? also how do you have two copies of it on your steam apps?

I have the non-Steam version of GTA V, but I imagine similar setup applies to the Steam version where modding is concerned, so I'll explain a few things.

If you're familiar with modding in GTA V you'll already know that a mods folder is used to host a copy of the vanilla files (as a sub-folder within the GTA V installation folder) -- in which you install the mods to. Redux (like any other mod) installs to the files within the mods folder while the vanilla files remain untouched and safe.

Redux comes with a .OIV (packaged file) which allows you to install Redux automatically. Make sure to check out the installation guide. [gta5redux.com]

• Folder Structure

• Non-Steam folder structure: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\mods
• Steam folder structure: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Grand Theft Auto V\mods

• Switching Between Redux (Mod) and Vanilla

You can play a modded GTA V in Story Mode (as mods are not supported online), and when you choose to play GTA V Online -- you simply remove the file called ScriptHookV.dll from your GTA V installation folder, rename the mods folder to something else such as (mods OFF) and then you can play online. Revert the steps mentioned to enable the mods for Story Mode. Without ScriptHookV in the installation folder, the mods folder is useless.
