Sky changing brightness while driving fast on a sunny day
So clean installed GTA V and Redux 1.2.1 and now when driving fast on a sunny day the sky brightness keeps going lighter then darker.
I think it has something to do with sun flare because looking directly at the sun the screen changes brightness as well.
Playing without end/reshade but did try with and the same thing is happening. It's very eye staining so I overwritten Redux with Visual V. Hope you can solve this :)
-EDIT-
I like your guys visuals so I tried overwriting lensflare files with visualv's, didn't help :(

it should be something with the timecycle files if you want to use redux just change the timecycle files with visualv ones and try again

I did, I overwritten the whole timecycle folder in common.rpf with the original files, no go, still the sun is lowering the brightness and the sky is flikering. If I had to guess I'm thinking it's the graphics.ytd file that's the culprit

it could be graphics skydome also

Let me know if you want me to try anything, I want to help but I'm bit of noob I just started playing and modding gta a week ago :P

Well you didn't exactly tell me what to do. Or I'm just a bit slow. Where am I supposed to find the skydome thingy and with what should I replace it? With the original or with visualv's file?

i dont think its a skydome issue.
for me it sounds more like a enb issue where it constantly adjusts the brightness.

@anderj
can you make a video and upload it somewhere so i get a better understanding on whats going on?
GamingConsultant Sep 9, 2017 @ 9:21am
Don't think its a enb issue because I'm not using it. It's definitely something in the graphic settings. I just tried the vanilla game and its also there but very minimum. Then I tried visual v and its not there. So Im guessing it's my monitor.
Just broke my game with car replace pack so it'll be tommorow with the video.

Can someone please share there graphic settings with a 980gtx?

Edit: Video will be uploaded by tomorrow morning, low upload speed and large file size for quality..

Didn't your mom ever tell you to not stare directly into the sun? ;)

i have to test it on vanilla gta to see if its in the game engine and if it can be helped.
but its not that flickering i thought, its just adjusts brightness when the sunlight brightness reaches a certain amount and cant go higher.
looking into it...

I'm a sungazer i love burning my eye sockets xD

Nope its not in the vanilla game, no brightness change while looking into the sun.
Oh and last night I played around a bit and broke mods folder so today I reinstalled. But I didn't copy any folders before installing I just installed the oiv file and OpenIV copied over only the files that where being modified.
So now my mods folder only takes up 38gb instead of the 60gb it should.
Played the game a bit and didn't find any issues with this kind of installation :)
-Edit-
After rebuiling/defragmenting the whole gta folder with OpenIV. The mods folder is down to 33.5gb and the game is working perfectly

@Screaming Nipples
I just installed L.A roads over redux I have to say it looks better, at least for me. Maybe try it out :)
