Gridders for Android / Amazon Kindle
Here are a few games I've owned and/or come across. I'm sure there are a lot more. Please feel free to add any you're aware of!

7 Mages[play.google.com] Product description reads "A fantasy game reworking of the legendary movies Seven Samurai and The Magnificent Seven." Macavity says: " It's free to dl, with a payment after a few levels."

Abyss and Dark #1 リル・マズアの遺跡[play.google.com] The Bing Translation is pretty epic: "Adult pleasure soaked labyrinth of junior high school students when great tension and item identification of best Etrian Odyssey more interesting hack SLU." mounrou says it doesn't "use the same characters stats, but otherwise a Wiz-Clone. There's a free version so you might as well try it out."

Coldfire Keep[www.amazon.com] This decent Grimrock clone is available for portable play. Suh-wheet!

Deadly Dungeons RPG[www.amazon.com] - This game has been out a few years but the dev keeps improving it. Think of it as a roguelike Grimrock-lite. It's a pretty fun way to kill a few minutes, but it's not incredibly deep. More combat-oriented than puzzle-centric.

Dungeon Legends RPG[www.amazon.com] - Haven't played this, and the only review (from Feb 2015) says it keeps locking up his Kindle. It looks amazing though, and it might have been updated. UPDATE: Fenriz says he's played it on his S5 and it worked fine, so YMMV depending on the device.

Dungeon of the Damned[www.amazon.com] - This one is more puzzle focused than most other games of the genre (it reminds me a bit of Uninvited). It seems to be missing a map feature though, and that, coupled with the lack of strafing, makes it a bit cumbersome and overly difficult. Still, it might be worth a look.

Oubliette[www.amazon.com] - This is the real deal. It's a new version of one of the oldest gridders ever (if not THE oldest gridder ever, having originally been written to run on the PLATO[en.wikipedia.org] system), and it's pretty hardcore. It also has a dev that's still pretty active, although I think I read elsewhere that the Google version gets updated more frequently. Here's[www.amazon.com] the demo version.

QuestLord[www.amazon.com] - I've never played this, but the graphics look pretty good and one reviewer describes it as being similar to Wizardry.

The Bard's Tale[www.amazon.com] - This updated version actually includes the original classic trilogy! Can't beat that.

I played Dungeon Legends RPG on my S5 and it works perfectly fine. It's a fun game, but I prefer playing these kinda games on PC or console...

I hope the list get separated into another 2 categories.
Turn Based (Real Time With Pause can put here) or Real Time.

I'm pretty busy this week, but I'll do what I can. I assumed these were all turn based, but my Kindle broke last year, so I haven't played them since. If there are any you absolutely know to be TB or RT just let me know and I'll sort them into different lists.

Coldfire Keep runs only on a few select android devices from what a reveiwer said quoted from author.

Would you happen to have a link? I've checked out a few reviews, and the only complaint I'm finding is for buggy controls (which the developer has patched, apparently). As far as I can tell, it currently runs on Apple (iOS) and Kindle HD products fine, but I don't see anything (either way) about Android devices.

Nevermind meant Amazon devices.

Ah, ok. Thanks! I see on his announcement page[www.stevejarman.com] that the only Kindle device not supported is the original, which is to be expected (I'm assuming that, since it runs on the Fire Phone, it will run on the Fire TV Stick, which was released after that announcement). The nice thing about Amazon is that, if you try to purchase an app for a non-supported Amazon device, a red "x" shows up below the purchase button.

Good looking out! It's definitely useful to know that not all games will work on all devices, and it's a good reminder to check first.

Seven Mages just got released for Android[play.google.com]

I've downloaded it but not had chance to get stuck into it yet. It's free to dl, with a payment after a few levels.

It's also available on Early Access for the PC, here on Steam.

Menu can be displayed in English, not sure about story though. There's a free version so you might as well try it out.

>And then there's the WanDroids remakes. :conwayshrug:

Thanks a lot guys; I really appreciate the heads up! I've added them to the OP. I no longer have a way to play these, but they both have me drooling (particularly 7 Mages, which is apparently "a fantasy game reworking of the legendary movies Seven Samurai and The Magnificent Seven" - two of my favorite films).

Cheers!
