Hey man, is this for a Garry's Mod server? If you need any help with it you can just add me and I'd be happy to help out. I've owned & setup way too many Garry's Mod servers before.

The Steam package for Go has helped me in developing all my random little projects. I made this package because after searching for a while on the web, there is no other package like it.
It provides a huge range of features and functions and was made to be used with ease.

Some major features include:

• Convert SteamID's to nearly any format.
  
• Log into Steam and send group/friend invites or message a friend.
  
• A huge amount of Steam's API features compiled into individual functions.

I have been working on my Steam ID Finder website running with Golang and I am proud to say it's complete. It serves a mobile friendly version when requested by a mobile device.

Go was designed for writing servers. That is how it is most widely used today, and as a result a lot of work on the runtime and compiler is focused on issues that matter to servers: latency, ease of deployment, precise garbage collection, fast startup time, performance.

As Go gets used for a wider variety of programs, there are new issues that must be considered. One of these is binary size. It has been on the radar for a long time (issue #6853 was filed over two years ago), but the growing interest in using Go for deploying binaries on smaller devices — such as the Raspberry Pi or mobile devices — means it received some attention for the Go 1.7 release.
