Im doing a study-ish kind of thing and i wanted to ask multiple fandoms, its your turn guys and gals, so tell me, what intrests you when it comes to anthropomorphic animals

I don't like it, I just like the art. I hate being hated by everyone. I find the art extremely "cute and cool". I really don't like the hate tbh
For me it's because I can be something else than a human. Sure the human body is an amazing creation, but sometimes it's just not enough for me. I want to feel what the other animals can feel.
That's sort of the reason why I like being a furry, I guess?
Hope it helped :g_heart:

I don't think I actually know. I've just kind of always been. I just realized one day that what I felt had a name. I really like anthropomorphic characters from movies an videogames. And I started creating my own when I was little and stuff. That's actually a very good question.

After attempting and failing to think of a useful answer, I've came to the conclusion that me and many others don't actually know why. If I had to guess, in relation to the fursona apsect, I probably would say its just the feeling of being something else that I can call 100% my own creation.

How can a person love "something" and don't know why?

This is the same for me. I don't know why I am part of the fandom, but am just liking anthro characters and art.
Because of the characters, the art, the yiff.

I like the fandom because it’s usually a place where people are very accepting and you can be whatever person you want. I’ve made far more and far better friends here than I have in person simply because I can act how I really am. Now, there are times when people who consider themselves furries aren’t accepting of a group of people, but I feel like they don’t represent the majority. As long as what you do isn’t illegal or otherwise unethical, you’d be hard pressed to find someone who ridicules you.

I like being a furry because I can interact with other people that I can be comfortable with talking too (I am socially awkward rip). What made me interested into anthropomorphic animals was the art and friends who were comfortable saying that they are a furry outloud basically. I hope this helps...
the art and fursuits. i have mixed feelings about the people in here tho. i get shit just for liking rap music and playing call of duty

I became a furry so I could, in a way, re-invent myself. To me my fursona is much more than a character, but rather a representation of everything I am and everything I aspire to be. I can't quite explain why, but imagining myself as an anthropomorphic cat makes me feel happy. I'm not saying that I'm really a cat trapped in a human body. I'm merely a human being who has a desire to become something other than human, something that matches my personality. It's all about identity and freedom on the mind my friends.

To be honest, it's mostly the art aspect for me. I'm not much of an artist personally, I can draw but not well or consistently, but I do find a lot of inspiration with some of the art I come across. It's very cute, plain and simple. Fluffy ears and tails and little boops are the best, and I really really hope I can draw them like I want to some day.

Community seems nice for the most part, but I'm not very good with people in general so I don't really involve myself much with it

I just came for the community. Yeah there's some horrible members that are cancerous and give us a bad wrap. However, once you find the right people it just becomes anouther way to make friends.
