Why so many furries draw?

Have you ever been thinking about why so many furries in the fandom draws?

most people here (like me) started drawing because of the fandom, simply because of how much they (and I) love furry art. It isn't even for the drawing, I've noticed, that pretty much all furries would like to do, or already do some form of art. Me for example, I produce music and draw sometimes. Of course it's not like you have to be able to do art to be a furry, just most of them are and they're good at it. Think of it, would a non-creative person without any interest in art like the concept of anthro animals? :P

I just enjoy drawing furries its relaxing and fun for me. It also makes me happy :3

I draw but not anthro characters, I am planing to go to an art school to learn about drawing bodies better, I also want to animate, I have cartoon ideas.

I think it's cause people can't find enough of the art that they like so they decided to draw their own or they have tons of ideas and no one or barely anyone is drawing those ideas. At least that's why I do it.
+ It's a good way to express yourself.

For me I draw because I don't own a fursuit, by drawing and animating, I'm able to show my fursona with different expressions

That's a trend that I have observed as well. I myself draw too and I find it kinda cliche nowadays even. I have threaded around many different communities and I gotta say that the furries benefit a lot from this storm of creativity. Being a little bit realistic we could cut off more than half of the people from the community who say they draw, some people try to, but don't actually get anything of quality out. I myself don't know if I would even count myself in. But in general the number of people who can put out good art in this community is huge so it manages to create different types of content besides art like animations, stories and even games! I have seen so many other communities that would benefit so much from such talent but they just can't put anything out, and the furry community does it all the time. I tend to hate a lot at many aspects of this community, but being talented and creative is something that I will always commend the furries for.
