Freelancer Multiplayer Download 2019 - Windows only

First step: Framework 4.0

Even if you already have a newer version, try to download it by clicking at the following link: Framework 4.0 [www.microsoft.com]

Second step: Download and install Freelancer

CD or No-CD version
First of all, i guess you don't have the CD version of Freelancer. You can buy it online or download the ISO version, it depends on what you prefer. Since i only tried with the ISO version, here is the download: Freelancer.7z [firedrop.com]

It's better to follow the instructions and download the ISO if you don't want any problems. Remember to delete all the folders if you already installed Freelancer in the past.

I'm not responsable of your use about the ISO.

Extract the ISO file
Create a new folder on the desktop named Freelancer and then extract the ISO on it. You will find a file named SETUP.EXE, run it and follow the instructions in order to download the real folder of Freelancer. Don't run or move anything else.

Third step: Discovery mod

Since we want to play the multiplayer mode, i chose the Discovery mod[firedrop.com]. You will also be able to play the single player mode (even with mods if you want, i will make another guide about that).

Download Discovery mod
Download and install it, now you will find Discovery Freelancer and Freelancer (already created from the past installaton) on your desktop. Delete Freelancer, since it is only a shortcut and then run Discovery Freelancer.

Install Discovery Freelancer
Ignore the account messages since you will get a personal ID when you will run the game. The launcher will update for a while and you will see an helmet icon on the taskbar, hidden by the the launcher for someone. It is the EULA, accept it and then press the Launch Game button to start the game.

Fourth step: In game

Here we are at the end of this guide, if the game doesn't start, you probably did something wrong during the steps, ask for any help. If everything worked properly, it's time to save the ID that you will see when you click on the Multiplayer button.

Take screenshots while playing

If you want to do a screenshot while you are playing, you have to press the button Stamp / Print Screen on your keyboard. You will find the screenshots here:
