MAL went down because of security issues. They're slowly bringing it back up.

imo even if 10 people do something, it'sa win. The MC Server I used to run had like 5 people in it from the cafe. So 5 more then none. So i would keep trying to offer some events in popular games or smth, if there are literally no people interessted then ok, but even if it is a few, I'd say do it.
