Library not showing up on Authorized Device
Steps Taken:
1. Taken device to authorize and authorized it via the instructions found in the FAQ which included
a. Log into the account to be shared on the device to be authorized
b. Go into Account -> Settings -> Manage Family Sharing & Devices
c. Select Device to Authorize
d. Selected "Authorize Device"
e. log out of authorizing account
f. log in as guest account
2. after step 1, entered library
3. selected the library selector (the column that shows up and gives options such as, all games, installed, downloads, etc)

By the logic followed above, it should be expected that one of the options to show up in the column described in step 3 be the account that authorized that device, however the account was no where to be found.

It should be noted, that the authorized device tried both being opted into the beta client and not being opted in, while the authorizing account is opted into the beta.

Searched discussion threads in group along with googling said issue, and no results were yielded. Conclusion, bug in beta execution.

If I missed something, or failed to try something or complete a step, please inform me, so I may go about the proper procedure and test again, with hopefully better results.

Result:
Library not showing up on Authorized Device.

Expected:
Library to show up on Authorized Device.

Update to the ticket:

Issue has been resolved, the problem, occurred when I temporarily disabled steam guard authorized the device, and then reenabled steam guard. It appears that if any type of security information is changed, that the authorization is revoked. For future reference and assistance to other people.

so ensuring steam gaurd is enabled on both accounts and then deauthorising and reauthourising device should fix the missing shared library.!?

tfredett[MF] has made a good representation of the problem i am experiencing on a windows system trying to share steam library on windows user account (family sharing beta tester) with another steam account on the windows guest user account on the same machine

I am unsure if this is a windows (8.1) or steam problem.

After working out a solutiuon I came to the conclusion that it was ME who was the the problem  :Nutcracker: I felt like a great steamin :Clot: but before posting back here; looking on the "How to" at the section,:

I'm in the Beta! How do I authorize my shared computer?

As a selected beta participant, first opt into the latest Steam Client Beta Update. Then, authorize a device to share via the “Account” tab in Settings, where you’ll find a button to "Manage Family Sharing & Devices", followed by a button to “Authorize this Machine.” Now family members and guests may log in and play your shared games.

made me realise that this could be made to give better advice as the solution that made Family Sharing working for me and my friend may indicate this is misleading.

I found the solution in discussions so all credit to Cenosillicaphobic (ref:http://steamcommunity.com/groups/familysharing/discussions/0/648811852669621731/)
The solution was to log in to my friends steam client installed in the windows guest user account with my own steam account details and authorise the device from there. Whereas following the How To meant I was trying to authorise device from my steam client in my own windows user account (on the same machine)

SUGGEST EDIT:
I'm in the Beta! How do I authorize my shared computer?

As a selected beta participant, first in your friend's Steam Client opt into the latest Steam Client Beta Update and then log into their Steam Client with your own account details. Then, authorize a device to share via the “Account” tab in Settings, where you’ll find a button to "Manage Family Sharing & Devices", followed by a button to “Authorize this Machine.” Now family members and guests may log in to their own Steam Client as usual and play your shared games.
