Sect Benefits?

Watching Andrew's live stream, it seemed like changing to a particular sect got him a specific unit tech ?

Is there any EFS (not FS RPG) reference about this besides the Patriarch's ramblings in the Archives?

What happened on the stream was more akin to unit's receiving updated statistics such as agility\armor\weapon accuracy etc depending on the sect.

I guess this is fitting for a game set in the Dark Ages of space ;)

Oh there is, sort of. The books
Can't say if the sects in-game would actually represent the books accurately.
The devs frequent the discord server
When this finally releases, I'm sure some docs will be made :)

lol The modifiers the different sects provide can also be found in the SECTS file. We should really have a VIOLENCE file right next to the sects one ...

hehe - Sects and Violence are the hallmarks of a good Noble house (well according to the Decados anyway)

I could not find a Sects dat file however in the dir with the rest of the DATs. Is it in the main game dirs structure ?

The sect.dat is completely new for 1.5 :)
